PhD students enrolling in 2007 are required to deposit a digital copy of their thesis when completing their doctoral studies. The default access option is open access, but options for restrictions are available. Details are written into the PhD statute: http://www.calendar.auckland.ac.nz/regulations/doctoral/PhD.html. Masters students enrolling in 2010 are required to deposit a digital copy of their thesis on completion of their studies, the default access option is access for University member only. In special circumstances Open Access can be arranged.
